The Moncks Corner, South Carolina, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Christopher Beau Harrison, affectionately known as Beau, who passed away Friday evening at a Charleston hospital. He was 12 years old.
Born on December 4, 2013, Beau was the beloved son of Chris M. Harrison and Alison Worth Harrison. His passing has left his family, friends, classmates, church community, and everyone who knew him facing an unimaginable loss.
Beau was a seventh-grade student at Berkeley Middle School, where he was known as a respectful young man whose presence brought warmth to those around him. He was also a member of Victory Baptist Church, where his family and community will continue to remember him with love.
Outside the classroom, Beau had a deep appreciation for the outdoors. Hunting and fishing were among his greatest passions, and he especially enjoyed duck hunting and squirrel hunting. One of his favorite companions was his squirrel dog, Dottie, with whom he shared many memorable adventures.
His love of the outdoors extended to his involvement with organizations that reflected those interests. Beau was a member of Hagen Hunting Club, Ducks Unlimited, and the Delta Waterfowl Association. These activities allowed him to spend time doing what he enjoyed while creating memories that his family and friends will treasure.
Beau also loved riding his side-by-side and four-wheeler and enjoyed mudding whenever he had the opportunity. For him, these were more than hobbies; they were opportunities to experience the outdoors, spend time with people he cared about, and simply enjoy being a young boy.
Those who knew Beau will remember his respectful nature, his enthusiasm for the things he loved, and the warmth he brought into the lives of others. Although his life was far too short, the memories he created will remain with his family and friends for years to come.
Beau was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Frances Harrison. His family now faces the tremendous pain of losing a beloved son and grandson.
